The following terms and conditions apply when you book your English Language programme on behalf of yourself or on behalf of your child (Student) with IM Connection Ltd trading as Irish Connection (Organiser). You, or you as the parents responsible for the Student agree to enter into these terms and conditions on behalf of yourself or on behalf of the Student. Please read them carefully.
1. The Contract
a) Booking form must be completed by an adult (18 years+) on behalf of any
minor(s) travelling. No contract shall arise until we have received a completed
booking form and deposit/ full payment. By enrolling, you accept the contract
and terms and conditions of Irish Connection. The booking form can be
handwritten or sent by email. On receipt of your enrolment, we will confirm your
English Language programme within 7 days.
b) The Organiser reserves the right to terminate the contract if the behaviour or
conduct of the Student either prior to or during their stay is likely to endanger
the safety or well being of other Students in his/her company, the well being
of the Student, the Organiser or the host family members where the Student
will reside. In this case cancellation charges as per Clause 7 of these terms and
conditions will apply. Further, as a result of the Student’s actions either or both
of the following incidents occur:
- there is a delay or diversion to the means of transportation provided
- the accommodation in which the consumer is staying is damaged
the student or, in the case of a minor, the parents of the Student hereby agree to indemnify the Organiser against any claim made against the Organiser in relation to any costs or expenses (including legal costs) which the Organiser may incur following the occurrence of such incidents.
2. Persons with Special Requirements
It is the family’s responsibility to disclose to the Organiser at the time of booking
any physical or mental condition which may be relevant. The Student must also
advise any dietary requirements at the time of booking.
3. The Organiser’s Responsibilities
Irish Connection is responsible as an English Language Programme Organiser
for the authenticity of its website, the accuracy of its content, the conscientious
choice of the service providers. Irish Connection undertakes to organise transfers and accommodation for the Student upon receipt of the completed booking form.
Irish Connection is not responsible for booking flights for the student.
All students will be met at Dublin airport and brought to their host family and accompanied back to Dublin airport. Irish Connection shall not be held responsible in the case of an accident occurring in the host family’s premises where the Student is residing during their stay in Ireland or during the journey to and from their place of stay. Irish Connection reserves the right to change, without prior notice, the content of its website.
Irish Connection reserves the right to expel a Student if his/her behaviour
detracts from the smooth running of the programme or if they break the law of the host country (Ireland). All of the fees, including the return journey, fines,
etc. are at the expense of the Student. The Students are also responsible for any
damages or losses caused during their stay.
4. The Student’s Responsibilities
- The Student must provide exact names as per passport.
- The Student is responsible for booking their flights.
- The Student is responsible for presenting at the airport in sufficient time for
flight departure. If the Student arrives after the check-in time the Organiser is not responsible for providing alternative travel arrangements. If the Student wishes to book an alternative flight, they will pay for this flight themselves and advise Irish Connection of details. In this case the Student will be met in Dublin and brought to their host family. - All of the conditions imposed by the Students trip abroad (obtaining a visa,
valid insurance, customs formalities, etc.) are the Students responsibility. If the
Student is refused authorisation to enter Ireland for reasons independent of the
will of Irish Connection, the trip is cancelled according to the conditions under
clause 7. - The student must abide by the regulation of the airline in relation to weight,
type and contents of baggage.
5. Problems/ Complaints
Any complaint must be made directly to the Organiser during your stay. If the
student has any problem in Dublin during his/her stay, he/she must contact Irish
Connection immediately. This will afford the Organiser reasonable opportunity
to rectify any problem that has arisen. Any complaint not brought to the
attention of the Organiser during the stay is deemed inadmissable.
6. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
The terms of the contract of this Booking Terms and Conditions are to be
interpreted under and are subject to the laws of Ireland. The parties hereby
submit to the jurisdiction of the Courts of Ireland.
All prices are quoted in Euros. A non-refundable deposit of Eur300 is to
accompany the booking form. The balance is due 30 days prior to the departure.
All details in relation to your language programme and host family will be sent to you on receipt of balance of payment.
8. Cancellation
a) Any cancellation needs to be in writing. If the cancellation occurs more than 30 days prior to departure, your deposit of Eur300 is forfeited.
b) If your cancellation occurs within 30 days of departure, you will be charged :
- from 29 to 20 days prior to the departure 25%
- from 19 to 11 days prior to the departure 50%
- from 10 to 1 days prior to the departure 100%
From the 1st day of your stay or in the case of an early return, no refund is
granted.
c) If the trip is not paid in full by the due date, the Organiser reserves the right to
cancel the Students place.
9. Insurance
It is the Students responsibility to arrange adequate travel, health and baggage
insurance for the trip to Ireland. You are obliged to be covered against the risks
of illness and accidents abroad. All students must be covered by the European
Health Insurance Card for public medical care. If the Student has additional
insurance cover, the details should be provided to Irish Connection.
It is necessary to announce your departure to your health insurance/social
security provider (or additional mutual insurance company).
10. Accommodation and host family
The contact details of the host family (name, telephone, full address) will be
communicated to you as soon as possible after booking. It is possible that a last-minute change can take place for reasons beyond our control.
11. Cancellation of a programme
The organiser may cancel a programme in the case of unforeseeable
circumstances, orders from the authorities, a strike, unrest or other restrictive
reasons. The total amount paid for the course is immediately returned.
12. Promotional material & Personal Data
Irish Connection reserves the right to retain and/or use photographs or
pictures taken during the language programme for promotional purposes, with
the agreement of the parents or of the legal representative. In return, Irish
Connection undertakes to respect the privacy of the participants in order to
preserve the rights and goods of its clients, in accordance with the legislation
in force. Irish Connection undertakes to process your personal information in
accordance with the applicable laws on the protection of privacy. Your personal
information will be used for the sole purpose of executing the contract.The data
might be used in order to contact you and inform you about future programmes.
