Based in South Dublin, IM Connection Ltd trading as Irish Connection was founded in 2013 by Ingrid Fives and Maeve Stapleton.

Our aim is to provide a home away from home environment for teenagers to learn English. Our programmes offer the opportunity for European teenagers to live as part of an Irish family and totally immerse themselves in the English language whilst making new friends and experiencing Irish life and culture. This total immersion is a hugely effective way of learning the English language.

Our programmes are small, friendly and fun. Every host family is interviewed and vetted by Irish Connection and we maintain close contact with the children during their stay in Dublin.

Ingrid Fives – Ingrid graduated from UCD (University College Dublin) with an Arts degree in Spanish and Italian. Her postgraduate was in Marketing. Ingrid holds a TEFL and Montessori teaching diploma. She subsequently travelled extensively in Spain and Italy teaching English before returning to Ireland where she taught for many years before working in the hotel industry for six years. She left to set up her own successful marketing company representing a number of hotel groups. Ingrid lives in Killiney with her husband and three children.

Maeve Stapleton – Maeve has an Arts degree in Spanish and French from UCD (University College Dublin) and a postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management from COMAD (College of Marketing and Design) Dublin.
